Vietnam Is Opening Their Doors to American Families Again!

We are very happy to announce the renewed possibility of adopting children from Vietnam. As of January 2006,Vietnam has revamped their adoption laws and will resume international adoptions in their country.

The connection and history of our two countries can not be ignored. There are wounds still healing on both sides of the world. Perhaps your family can not only expand in size with a child from Vietnam, but in heart with their country.  

The Children Waiting For Families

      Infant boys and girls and some older children are in need of adoption. We work in conjunction with another agency that supports an orphanage in the Hoa Binh province through humanitarian funds. Most children are relinquished at birth and each child is given a physical examination upon entry to the orphanage. Each child is tested for HIV and for Hepatitis B. Although the babies are in an orphanage, the level of care is relatively good.

 

 

 Parental Qualifications for Adoption in Vietnam

You must be at least 20 years old to adopt.  Both couples and single men/women are eligible to adopt in Vietnam .  We prefer no more than 45 years age difference between the youngest parent and the child.   

Vietnam Adoption Program and Procedures

 Fully authenticated dossiers are translated in Vietnam and submitted to the Department of International Adoption (DIA) in Hanoi .  The DIA requests an referral from Hoa Binh province which is then sent to the AT US office and on to the family.  Once you accept the referral of a child, Hanoi DIA sends the dossier to the Province and the Province officials schedule a Giving and Receiving ceremony where the adoption if finalized.   You are required to travel in one trip for about 2 weeks.  Once USCIS has processed a visa for your child, you may bring your child HOME!
