What is a Home Study?

Your Home Study experience should be informational and pleasant. Our agency assumes up front that our families deserve to be parents and we work towards assisting them to meet that goal. 

At Adoption Journeys our goal is to provide an experience for our families that is respectful, informative and supportive. The home study is designed to be a collaborative, educational process in which you will be asked to explore your personal expectations about parenting a child through adoption. 

All our Home Studies are Expedited for no extra charge.

Our social workers are  trained and experienced in the unique issues faced by families prior to choosing adoption.      

We offer home study services for all  families who live in Arizona .We work with Arizona families who contract with other International and Domestic placement agencies, Attorney's, or who have contacted birth mothers on their own.

Adoptions Journeys follows all state and, when applicable, international requirements for home studies. 

To complete the study there will be a series of interviews, including at least one that will occur in your home.

Most adoptive families report that this process is very useful as it helps them clarify their thoughts and feelings.

Home Study Fee:         $1,150.00

Hague Home Study:    $   200.00 additional
