Welcome From Lenore Grabel, M.A., President And Founder

Adoption Journeys of Arizona, Inc. is a full service adoption agency dedicated to professional, caring service. We are here to help you through the joys and challenges inherent in building a new, or expanding an existing family. As the President and Founder of the agency, my role will be to make your journey through this complicated process as smooth as possible.

Our knowledge and understanding of all the social and psychological aspects of the adoption journey are at your disposal. We have experience in all adoption options from in-family to international, from newborn to special needs. We offer a menu of services that are designed to assist you in creating your forever families.

If you have decided upon your adoption plan, we are here to support your decision. If you are in need of information on the variety of options available within the adoption community allow us to guide you.

Our Staff Of Adoption Professionals

Lenore Grabel, M.A. President/Executive Director

Lenore is the founder of Adoption Journeys of Arizona, Inc. Lenore is a Master's level social worker and therapist. She has worked in all areas of the adoption field for over 17 years . As the Executive Director of the agency, she offers the knowledge, compassion and perspective to work with all members of the adoption triad. Her expertise, and passion to find homes for the children of the world is the driving force behind the creation of Adoption Journeys of Arizona, Inc. She heads a staff of truly dedicated professionals who believe in the miracle of adoption, the joy of family and the potential of human resiliency.

Marcy Gitt, M.S.W- Contract Social Worker- Maricopa and Northern Arizona

Marcy an adoptive mom and a Master’s level social worker who has been an adoption professional for over specialized in adoptions for over 15 years. She has worked as a Manager of International adoption programs, placed many children for a time, and has provided home studies, post placements, adoptive family support groups, adoptive parent pre and post preparation workshops, individual and group counseling. Marcy is also a Birth Land Tour founder who escorts adoptive families to their children's country of origin. 

Peggy Bartel - M. A. -Contract Adoption Social Worker-Phoenix area

Peggy is a Master’s level social worker who has specialized in adoptions for the past 10  years.. She has provided home studies, post placements, adoptive family support groups, adoptive parent pre and post preparation workshops, individual and group counseling.
