Continued... It is important for birth mothers to allow themselves the right to question their thoughts and feelings throughout the process and to share those feelings as much as is possible with a safe listener. Adoption is a very difficult decision. It is normal to feel varying degrees of emotions and thoughts throughout the process before and after placement. The decision to place your child for adoption is a courageous, selfless one. You are considering what is best for your child in the present, while you are focusing on the options for his or her future. Because of the different adoption models offered today such as open, semi open and semi or closed adoptions you can have the opportunity to know how your child is growing and thriving in their adopted family. |

How does Adoption Journeys of Arizona, Inc. screen the families who want to adopt? Adoption Journeys professional staff assess our prospective families through a rigorous Home Study Evaluation process. The families must meet all requirements and standards of Arizona Adoption law. In addition, to this process our families continue to have on going contact with our staff during the waiting and matching period. All our families are educated as to the best parenting practices for adopted children. Our families are unique and so grateful to have the opportunity to raise a child who is generously placed in their care. We make sure our birth mothers get the opportunity to understand as much about the family they are matched with as is possible. You will have the opportunity to review the profiles of carefully screened prospective adoptive families whose dream is to adopt an infant child. Our prospective adoptive families provide information regarding their careers, family background, present lifestyle, beliefs, religions, interests, prospective parenting style and more for our birth mothers to consider when making a choice for their child. We believe a birth mother is the only one who can decide what is best for herself and her unborn child. You will be treated with dignity and respect by our adoption professionals at all times. We are aware that you are facing a difficult challenging time in your life. We want you to feel safe with the knowledge that our staff will Honor your requests and decisions at all times. If you want to, you will have an opportunity to meet and begin a relationship with the adoptive family you have chosen. If you prefer not to have contact with an adoptive family your choice will be respected, and our team will select a family for your child. Please View Our Waiting Families
